Your free trial

Your account arrives with a free trial already running. You get 14 days on Performer, our top DJ plan, from the moment you sign up. There is no card to enter and no button to press.

Hype Display is in free beta: every account gets the full product — the DJ, venue and promoter sides alike — free until November 2, 2026. Two exceptions: custom handles come with any paid plan, and the watermark stays until you subscribe. Checkout stays open, and nothing you build goes away when the beta ends. About the beta.

What you get

For the length of the trial, your DJ plan behaves as though you were paying for the top plan:

  • Everything in Creator
  • Video blends (playlists)
  • Real-time tip alerts
  • Custom call to actions
  • Instagram integration
  • Live follower count
  • New follower alerts

Use all of it. Run a real gig on it. The point of the trial is to find out whether the thing works in your room, not to preview a menu.

The two exceptions

A trial never removes the Hype Display watermark, whatever plan it gives you. Only a paid plan does. Why.

Custom handles are the other: they come with any paid plan, and a trial is not a purchase. Everything works without one — your link page, QR code and profiles all run from permanent addresses — and the claim field unlocks the moment you subscribe.

Everything else the plan includes is genuinely yours for the fortnight.

What it covers, and what it doesn’t

  • The trial applies to your DJ plan. That is your own display, your link page and your DJ profile.
  • It does not turn on a venue plan. Running open decks nights or house screens is a separate thing you claim or subscribe to.
  • You can still do plenty on the venue side for free — filling in a venue page and building a roster cost nothing.

When it ends

Moving to a smaller plan never deletes anything. The features you lose go quiet, your settings stay exactly where they are, and they come back the moment you upgrade again. Changing plans.

Your account drops to the Free plan and keeps working. The screen still runs, your QR code still points at your link page, and your links are all still there. The premium pieces stop showing until you pick a plan.

You will see a countdown on your dashboard while the trial is running, so the end of it is never a surprise.

What this is not

The trial is not a separate plan you sit on, and it is not a limited demo build. It is a deadline attached to a real plan — which is why everything you set up during it is still there afterwards.
